Biking and Trails
Millenium Trail, Throughout The County
The Millenium trail is 46km and goes through The County. Depending on the season, it’s perfect for running, walking, biking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. The best part is that you can easily get off the trail to visit wineries, breweries, restaurants and more, then keep walking.
Beaches
Sandbanks Provincial Park
The main beach is the largest, most well-known white sand beach that you’ve probably seen photos of on Instagram. This is the most popular beach, and it requires parking reservations. You can only make your reservation five days in advance, so as soon as you can book yours, book it so you’re guaranteed to have your beach day. Local tip: Even with a reservation, head to the beach early in the morning or late in the afternoon (after 4PM), otherwise you may end up sitting in your car for hours before it’s your turn to sign in.
Sandbanks Dunes Beach
This beach is also part of Sandbanks Provincial Park, and it has incredible views from the top of the sand dunes. Plus, it’s a quieter option. This beach also requires parking reservations, which can be made five days in advance.
North Beach, Consecon
This beach is a little quieter than the previous beaches, so it makes for a great beach day. This beach requires parking reservations, which can be booked five days in advance.
Little Bluff Conservation Area (seasonal)
Off the beaten path, this is a great option for those who want a quieter spot to soak up the sun. You either go for a hike or sit on the cobblestone beach. Daily parking rates apply.
